Wood Farms in Fort Wayne, Indiana, hosted a New Year's Day Farm Breakfast to, in the words of farmers Dennis and Kristen Wood, "Celebrate the achievements of the Farm's past year, to embrace the opportunities of the upcoming year, and to express gratitude to everyone who has supported us to this point: our customers, employees, landowners, suppliers, friends and neighbors."

January 1, 2017 dawned crisp and clear and ready for a full-on farm breakfast at Wood Farms.

About 60 customers, employees, landowners, suppliers, friends and neighbors of Wood Farms gathered for the breakfast.

Elsewhere on the Wood Farm fresh bales of corn stalks are brought in to become bedding for the farm's Angus herd during the cold winter months.

Fruit, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and scrambled eggs were just part of the food offered in the buffet line. There was also grilled sausages, sauerkraut, oatmeal, etc.
